When you roar into our car park, hot off the A30, the first thing you'll see is our fantastic view - rolling Devon borders countryside with Brentor and its church in the distance - you may even catch a glimpse of Reg, our strawberry blonde monster-sized cat (the legendary beast of Portgate...).

Our aim at the Harris Arms is to serve what we call 'Honest Food' - with substance and style - which has been sourced locally and cooked by our team in the kitchen.

We have a great, regularly changing 'Specials Board' with exciting meat, game, poultry, and fish and shellfish creations.

Our beef, lamb, pork and poultry are supplied by Phillip Warren of Launceston and Palmers of Tavistock and represents the best quality available locally.

The fresh fish comes from Dennis Knights of Port Isaac who are renowned for the quality of their produce - plus the occasional 'catch' from Andy on his day off!

Cheeses are from County Cheeses of Tavistock - who aim to supply the 'very best of British cheeses available' - they are generally West Country in origin.

Our wine list is pretty cool too, with wines sourced from a network of merchants, small growers, or made by modern, ecologically sound wineries. Some wines are imported direct by us.

We've also got lots or original art from all over the world and when the sun shines you can take lunch or early dinner on our deck or in our garden and chill out.

So folks, come on down to The Harris Arms - drop in for a drink, a snack or a great meal and enjoy yourselves.

Children and dogs welcome - Dog Friendly Britain. The only dog-friendly site you'll ever need.

Please note that we are closed on Mondays (and Sunday evenings in the winter).
